City and Colour is the side project of Canadian post-hardcore group Alexisonfire’s guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green.

A member of the multi-platinum selling Alexisonfire since its birth in 2001, Green’s solo career began with the release of a limited edition EP of songs on acoustic guitar titled The Death of Me. The solo efforts were circulated widely online and praised by fans, who emailed Alexisonfire in search of copies. In 2005, Green released his first full-length album, Sometimes, under the name City and Colour (Dallas is a city and green is a colour) which earned Platinum certification in 2006.

The artist has since received major recognition for his solo work, including the title of People’s Choice Favourite Canadian Artist at the 2006 MuchMusic Video Awards, a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year and several other Juno nods, including Jack Richardson for Producer of the Year for “Save Your Scissors.”

Green’s latest release, City and Colour Live, released March 27, includes music from Green’s sold-out live tours across Canada.
